TL;DR: Smite Worlds 2026
- Smite World Championship is on hiatus in 2026. Hi-Rez paused the original Worlds after the Smite 1 era ended; the Smite 2 competitive ladder is replacing it.
- The 2026 priced markets sit on the SCC Spring Split, SCC Summer Split and the Smite Pro League invitationals.
- Betway is our pick for the headline Smite 2 finals, UKGC and MGA licensed, Free Bet Up To €50 + 50 Bonus Spins on sign-up.
- GG.BET goes deepest on Smite map handicaps and first-kill markets, with up to €1,000 + €250 in free bets.
- Skip outright Worlds futures, nothing is priced. Bet split champions and pro-league playoff brackets instead.
Smite Worlds in its old form is gone. Hi-Rez wrapped the final Smite 1 World Championship in early 2024, switched the whole esport over to Smite 2, and rebuilt the competitive ladder under a new banner. So if you’ve typed “Smite World Championship 2026” into Google expecting a date, the honest answer is: there isn’t one yet, and there might not be one called that again.
The good news for bettors: there’s still plenty of priced Smite action this year. The Smite Championship Circuit (SCC) is running across Spring and Summer splits with playoff finals, and a handful of operators carry the markets, the depth just sits with esports-first books rather than the high-street brands. Betway and GG.BET both have you covered, and we’ve broken down where each one wins below.

Is Smite World Championship Cancelled?
Not officially cancelled, on indefinite hiatus. The last event branded as Smite World Championship took place in January 2024 at the Hi-Rez Studios HQ in Alpharetta, Georgia. Oxygen Esports lifted the trophy and the $400,000 first-place share. After that, Hi-Rez confirmed the original Worlds format wouldn’t return for Smite 1 because development focus moved to Smite 2.
Hi-Rez has been clear that competitive Smite isn’t dead, the SCC and Smite Pro League Invitational structure replaces the old Worlds umbrella. Whether they revive the “World Championship” name for Smite 2 is still up in the air; community signals so far point to a rebrand, not a return.
Smite Worlds History: 2014–2024
| Year | Champion | Prize Pool |
|---|---|---|
| 2015 | Cognitive Prime | $2.6M (largest in Smite history) |
| 2017 | NRG Esports | $1M |
| 2020 | SK Gaming | $500K |
| 2022 | Oxygen Esports | $400K |
| 2024 (final) | Oxygen Esports | $400K |
Prize pools peaked in 2015 with the crowdfunded “Odyssey” pass model, then settled into a steadier $400K–$1M range. Oxygen’s back-to-back 2022 and 2024 wins make them the most successful Smite 1 roster of the late era.
Smite Events Creating Betting Markets in 2026
No global Worlds, but plenty of priced action. Here’s what carries betting volume in 2026:
- SCC Spring Split (Mar–Jun), regular-season match markets plus playoff outrights. The strongest Smite 2 rosters from NA and EU compete for the largest 2026 prize share. Map handicap and total kills are usually the better-value lines.
- Smite Pro League Invitational (Jul), mid-year showcase that pulls in talent outside the regular SCC roster. Books open match-by-match without futures.
- SCC Summer Split (Aug–Nov), the marquee competitive window. Playoffs run on Hi-Rez’s Twitch and YouTube channels, and GG.BET prices first blood, first tower and total objectives across the bracket.
- Regional qualifiers and showmatches, thinner books, occasional priced lines on the bigger streams. Worth checking GG.BET’s in-play feed during Hi-Rez’s seasonal showcases.
How Smite Betting Differs From Other MOBAs
Smite is third-person and arena-based, not top-down like LoL or Dota 2, so the in-game pace plays differently. Three things matter when you’re reading a Smite price:
- Conquest map only. Competitive Smite is played exclusively on Conquest (the 5v5 three-lane mode). Forget Arena, Joust or Assault, nothing’s priced there.
- Shorter average match length. Smite matches usually wrap in 25–35 minutes versus LoL’s 30–40. That compresses kill totals and makes the over/under lines tighter than the equivalent LoL market.
- Smaller pro pool, sharper rosters. Fewer than 30 active pro teams worldwide. That means form trends are easier to track than in LoL or Dota 2, but rosters move faster between splits, check the latest lineup before staking a futures bet on a 2–3 month window.

Where to Watch Smite Esports in 2026
All SCC and SPL Invitational matches stream free on the official Hi-Rez Esports Twitch and YouTube channels. The Smite 2 main account also runs co-streams with English casters during big playoff weeks. If you’re placing live bets, the Twitch stream usually runs about 30–45 seconds ahead of the operator’s in-play feed, so account for the delay before clicking confirm.
How to Place Your First Smite Bet
- Open the Smite section on Betway or GG.BET. Betway carries playoff finals; GG.BET goes deeper on regular-season match days.
- Pick the SCC split match you want. If both teams are evenly priced (1.70–2.10), the map handicap usually offers better value than the match-winner line.
- Check the broadcast for roster news first. Late substitutes happen more often in Smite than in CS2 or LoL. A 30-second scroll through the Hi-Rez Twitch chat normally surfaces any last-minute changes.
- Stake 1–3% of bankroll. Smaller pro pool plus faster meta shifts means more variance. Flat staking saves you from chasing losses on a Smite tilt week.
- Watch live, settle, log it. Twitch is free; betslip results land within minutes of game-over. Track every bet in a spreadsheet, the lessons compound.

Smite World Championship FAQs
Is there a Smite World Championship in 2026?
No. The Smite World Championship is on indefinite hiatus after the final Smite 1 Worlds in January 2024, which Oxygen Esports won. Hi-Rez replaced the Worlds format with the Smite Championship Circuit (SCC) Spring and Summer splits plus a mid-year Smite Pro League Invitational.
Where can I bet on Smite in 2026?
Betway carries Smite playoff finals (UKGC and MGA licensed). GG.BET carries the deepest Smite market depth including SCC regular season, SPL Invitational, first blood, first tower and total kills. Both accept new players from most jurisdictions outside the US.
Who won the last Smite World Championship?
Oxygen Esports won the final Smite 1 World Championship in January 2024, claiming the $400,000 first-place share. They also won the 2022 edition, making them the most successful late-Smite-1-era roster.
What replaced the Smite World Championship?
The Smite Championship Circuit (SCC) runs Spring and Summer splits with a mid-year Smite Pro League Invitational. Hi-Rez hasn’t confirmed whether a global “Worlds” banner will return for Smite 2, but the split finals are now the marquee priced events.
What are the best Smite betting markets?
Map handicap (-1.5 maps) and total kills (over/under) consistently offer better value than straight match-winner on Smite, especially when one team is priced under 1.50. First blood and first tower markets pay best on GG.BET during the SCC playoffs.
