2.50 decimal odds mean that for every €1 you stake, you receive €2.50 back if the bet wins. This total includes your original stake. In other words, a €10 bet at 2.50 odds would return €25, giving you €15 profit.
The implied probability of 2.50 odds is 40%. This means the bookmaker estimates the outcome has a 40% chance of happening.

Say G2 are 2.50 to beat T1. The calculator shows that price carries a 40% implied probability. If you reckon G2 win this matchup about half the time, the bookmaker is underrating them. That is a value bet.
The Advanced box on the calculator does this sum for you. Put your own estimate in the win probability field and it shows your edge. Your 50% against the bookie’s 40% is a +10% edge.

Stake × Decimal Odds = Total Return
Example:
If a League of Legends team is priced at 2.50 and you stake €10:
€10 × 2.50 = €25 total return
Profit = €15
Positive odds (+150)
You win €150 profit for every €100 staked.
Negative odds (-150)
You must stake €150 to win €100 profit.
Common in the UK and Ireland.
5/2 means that for every €2 staked, you win €5 profit.
Implied probability shows the bookmaker’s estimated chance of an outcome.
1 ÷ Decimal Odds × 100
Example:
2.50 odds = 40% implied probability.
Positive odds:
100 ÷ (Odds + 100)
Negative odds:
|Odds| ÷ (|Odds| + 100)

Where the bookie's cut hides
Take a map winner market with both teams at 1.91. Each side has an implied probability of 52.4%. Add them up and you get 104.8%. A fair market adds up to 100%, so that extra 4.8% is the bookmaker's margin, known as the vig. It is baked into every price you take. Want the fair odds with the margin stripped out? Implied probability: the chance of an outcome according to the price. 2.00 odds means a 50% chance.
Vig: the bookmaker's cut, baked into every price. Also called the margin or juice.
Edge: your estimated probability minus the implied probability. Positive means the price is on your side.
Value bet: a price that underrates the real chance of something happening. The whole game is finding these.
+110 means you win €110 profit for every €100 staked.
You must stake €200 to win €100 profit.
A €10 bet at 3.0 odds returns €30 total, which is €20 profit.
Bookmakers include a margin (also called vig) within their pricing, meaning the implied probabilities add up to more than 100%.
A value bet is when you believe the real chance of something happening is higher than the odds suggest.
