SportsBetting.ag esports betting review, rated 3.2 out of 5

By Cian O’Rourke · Updated 31 October 2026 · Offer and terms checked against SportsBetting.ag’s help centre this month

Most people searching for a SportsBetting.ag review want two answers: is it safe to deposit, and is the WELCOME code worth using. Short version: it pays crypto out reliably and the free bet is one of the cleaner offshore offers around, but you are trusting a company that will not put its own name in its terms. Our rating is 3.2 out of 5.

SportsBetting.ag vs BetOnline: what actually differs

This is the question we get asked most, because the two sites look and feel almost identical. They are owned by the same group, run on the same platform and share a cashier, betting limits and a poker network. A Dutch regulator’s published decision names the same Panama company behind both. So where do they split?

Our score3.2 / 53.7 / 5

In practice you should pick one, not both. The group’s rules allow one account per person, household and IP address, and players who hold both have been told to choose. If you already bet at BetOnline, a SportsBetting.ag account gives you no extra protection, because it is the same counterparty. Our BetOnline esports review covers that side in full.

What you can bet on in esports

There is no separate esports lobby. You find the games inside the main sportsbook menu, listed beside the NFL and NBA. Here is how the board shapes up game by game.

  • CS2: the deepest of the lot, with match and map winners, map handicaps and round totals on the big ESL and BLAST events.
  • League of Legends: regular lines on the major regional leagues and international events, mainly winner and handicap markets.
  • Dota 2: solid around tier-one tournaments, thin outside them.
  • Valorant: VCT events are covered, but one independent test counted only 16 outcomes on a single match, so do not expect a long props list.
  • Call of Duty: appears around the bigger events rather than every week.

Live betting is available on selected matches. If you bet winners and handicaps on top-tier events, this board does the job. If you want player props or second-tier regional leagues, an esports specialist will give you far more to work with.

The WELCOME free bet, worked through

Headline numbers hide how a free bet actually plays out, so here is one real-money example. Say you deposit $100 and enter WELCOME in the cashier.

  • You receive a $50 free bet straight away, which is 50% of the deposit. The cap is $250, which you would hit with a $500 deposit.
  • You place it once, as a single bet. You cannot split it, and you have 30 days to use it.
  • If it wins at +150, you get $75 in winnings. The $50 stake itself is not returned. If it loses, or the bet pushes, you get nothing.
  • The $75 has no rollover on it. You only need to have wagered your own $100 deposit once before you withdraw.
  • The 100 free spins arrive as 10 a day for 10 days, each batch lasts 24 hours, and spin winnings are capped at $100.

Two catches. The free bet cannot go on live bets, props, parlays, teasers or futures, and on football, basketball, soccer and tennis it is limited to spreads and totals at +150 or shorter. Esports are not mentioned in those rules either way, so ask support whether your match qualifies before you place it. Do that before you deposit and you will not be caught out.

There is a second, bigger-looking offer for crypto depositors: code 100CRYPTO, 100% up to $1,000 in free plays from a $20 deposit. It comes with 14x wagering, which is a lot of turnover to clear. For most esports bettors WELCOME is the better pick. Crypto regulars can also use 35CRYPTO, a 35% reload up to $350 at 8x. There is no no-deposit bonus, despite what some coupon sites suggest.

Use code WELCOME for up to $250 in free bets plus 100 spins

Getting your money out

Withdrawals are where SportsBetting.ag earns its keep, as long as you use crypto. The cashier aims to process every request within 24 hours. Here are the main routes from its published fee table.

Ethereum, Tether, USDC$20 minimum, no published maximumSmall tiered feeWithin 24 hours

Bank wire$2,500 minimum$60, or 3% above $5,000Up to 15 business days

Figures from SportsBetting.ag’s published withdrawal table, checked October 2026. A weekly maximum is said to apply but no figure is published.

Deposits work the other way round. Crypto starts at $10 and costs nothing. Cards take $25 to $2,500 but add a fee, and a card deposit can put a three-day hold on your next withdrawal. Everything is in US dollars. If you have never used crypto, setting up a wallet before you join will save you money and days of waiting. Our crypto esports betting sites guide walks through the options.

What do players say? On Trustpilot the site sits at 3.9 from roughly 2,250 reviews. The negative reviews mostly describe accounts being closed or held up in verification, not winnings being refused. Upload your ID and proof of address as soon as you sign up, and do not request a withdrawal while your free bet is still open, because the cashier will block it.

The red flags, plainly

We would rather you hear these from us than find them after you deposit.

  • Nobody’s name is on the terms. The terms and conditions say the site is licensed and regulated but never say by whom, and they point to Antigua and Barbuda law while the sportsbook rules point to Panama. If a dispute ever got serious, that vagueness works against you.
  • Three states have acted. Michigan ordered it to stop in April 2025 and named it again in April 2026. Tennessee fined it $50,000 in June 2025 for ignoring an earlier order, and Massachusetts sent a cease-and-desist letter that same month. If you live in any of those states, do not sign up.
  • No restricted-state list. The terms refer to one, but it is blank. You have to check your own state’s law yourself.
  • Weak safer-gambling tools. You cannot set a deposit or loss limit. You can take a time-out of one week to six months, which cannot be lifted early, or self-exclude from this site only.

Outside the US and Canada, there is no reason to use it at all. The welcome offer is restricted to North America, and bettors in the UK, Germany or a regulated Canadian province are far better protected by a locally licensed book. Our methodology page lists our pick for each country.

Mobile: no app, and that is fine

There is no SportsBetting.ag app for iPhone or Android, and any app claiming to be one in a store is not official. The mobile site loads quickly and gives you the full sportsbook, the cashier and live betting. Save it to your home screen and it behaves much like an app. Two-step login is available by email or text message, and it is worth switching on. Our esports betting apps guide covers the home screen shortcut step by step.

How we got to 3.2

Every site we review is scored on the same seven criteria and weightings, set out on our review methodology page. SportsBetting.ag’s strengths are its cashier and its free bet. Its weaknesses are trust and player protection, which together carry over a third of the weighting.

Licensing and availability (25%)2.5

Offshore, operator unnamed in its terms, three state actions.

Esports coverage (20%)3.5

The main five games covered, core markets and some live betting, light on props.

Payments and withdrawals (15%)4.0

Free Bitcoin payouts with no published cap. Traditional methods are slow and costly.

Bonus terms (15%)3.5

No rollover on free bet winnings, held back by the +150 cap, the push rule and unclear esports use.

Mobile and ease of use (10%)3.5

No app, but a quick, complete mobile site.

Responsible gambling (10%)2.5

No deposit or loss limits. Time-outs and self-exclusion only.

Customer support (5%)3.0

A large help centre, but contact options and hours are not clearly published.

Weighted total: 3.2 out of 5. If you are in the US, comfortable with offshore betting and bet mainly on the big esports titles, it is a reasonable home for your crypto. If you want the same cashier with more transparency and deeper esports markets, its sister site scores higher.

Questions people ask about SportsBetting.ag

What is the SportsBetting.ag promo code right now?

WELCOME is the sportsbook code. Enter it in the cashier on a first deposit of $50 or more and you get half the deposit back as a free bet, up to $250, plus 100 free spins. Crypto depositors can use 100CRYPTO instead, but it carries 14x wagering.

Is SportsBetting.ag legit or a scam?

It is not a scam. It has run for over 20 years, sits inside the BetOnline group and processes crypto withdrawals within a day. The concerns are about transparency and legality, not about whether it pays: its terms do not name the operator, and three US states have taken action against it.

Does SportsBetting.ag have a no deposit bonus?

No. Every welcome offer needs a first deposit. Occasional Cash Drop codes are posted on its Telegram channel, but they are limited and first come, first served.

Is there a SportsBetting.ag app?

No official app exists for iPhone or Android. Use the mobile site and save it to your home screen.

How long does a SportsBetting.ag payout take?

Crypto withdrawals are processed within 24 hours and Bitcoin is free. A courier check takes about seven business days and a bank wire up to 15. You must have wagered your deposit once before you can withdraw.

Can I use the free bet on esports?

The free bet rules list restrictions for football, basketball, soccer and tennis but do not mention esports. Ask support to confirm your match qualifies before you place it, and remember it cannot go on live bets, props or parlays.
