Short answer: GG.BET is the only one of the four esports books we rate with a real app. It's in the App Store in some countries and you can download it for Android from GG.BET's own site. BetOnline, Thunderpick and Cloudbet run on mobile sites that do the same job from your browser, with no download. Scores use our review methodology.

Before writing this we checked each book’s App Store and Google Play listings and used its mobile site. Some links pay us a commission if you sign up, and that never moves a score. Read our affiliate disclosure and country availability disclaimer before you join anywhere.
Before you download anything: only one of the four esports books we rate has a real app. The other three run in your phone's browser, and for most bets you won't notice much difference.

Checked 1 November 2026 against Apple's App Store listings in Canada, the US, the UK, the Philippines, Germany, Norway and Malaysia, and against Google Play. None of the four is listed on Google Play.
The scores are the same ones we use across the site. The facts under each card are about using the book on your phone, not the bonus.

On your phone: GG.BET is the only one of the four with a proper app. On iPhone it's in the App Store in some countries. When we checked, we found it in Canada, Norway and Malaysia, on version 2.36.6 and rated 4.1 from 189 reviews in the Canadian store. It isn't listed in the US, UK or Philippines stores. On Android you download it from GG.BET's own site, not Google Play. Live streams sit inside the app, so you can watch a map and bet on the next one without switching screens.

On your phone: No app, and it doesn't pretend to have one. The mobile site gives you the full sportsbook, the cashier and live betting. Save it to your home screen and it opens like an app. There's no official BetOnline app in the App Store or Google Play, so treat anything using its name there with suspicion.

On your phone: No download, just a quick mobile site. Deposits, withdrawals, live betting and the VIP dashboard all work from the browser. What you lose is push alerts, so you won't get a ping when a withdrawal clears or a price moves.

On your phone: Browser only. Cloudbet's site works the same on a phone as it does on a laptop, and you can pin it to your home screen. There's no app and no word of one coming. It suits bettors who already hold crypto and don't need alerts.

Apple only allows real-money betting apps from operators licensed in each country where the app appears, and the app has to be locked to those countries. Google Play has a similar rule and only allows betting apps in markets it has approved. Offshore books licensed in Curaçao or Panama can't meet that in most places, so they put the work into their mobile sites.
That rule is why GG.BET's app appears in some App Stores and not others. If yours doesn't list it, GG.BET doesn't hold a licence Apple accepts for your country.
One practical point: if you find a betting app in a store and the developer name doesn't match the bookmaker, don't download it. Check the developer line on the listing first.
An APK is an Android app you download from a website rather than Google Play. It's how GG.BET gets its app onto Android phones, and it's safe enough if you're careful about where it comes from.
If that sounds like more hassle than it's worth, the mobile site does the same job without any of it.
For BetOnline, Thunderpick and Cloudbet, a home screen shortcut gets you most of the way there. It takes about 20 seconds.
You get an icon that opens straight into the sportsbook. You don't get push alerts, but you don't lose storage space or wait for updates either.
A polished App Store page tells you very little. Speed matters more. Esports odds move after every round and every objective, so a bet slip that lags will throw "odds changed" errors on exactly the live bets you care about. Streams matter too. Watching on Twitch in a second app usually leaves you a few seconds behind the book, and GG.BET is the only one of our four with streams built in.
The rest is housekeeping. All four let you deposit and withdraw from your phone, so you shouldn't need a laptop for anything. Turn on two-step login wherever it's offered, because phones go missing more often than laptops do. And decide your budget before the match starts. In-play betting on a phone is quick, and GG.BET has no deposit limits, so the only limit there is the one you set yourself.
GG.BET. It's the only one of the four esports books we rate with a native app, and live streams are built in. Whether you can get it depends on your country: it's in the App Store in some places, and on Android it's a download from GG.BET's own site. Open your account through our link first, then download the app and log in.
GG.BET has one in some App Stores. We found it in Canada, Norway and Malaysia. BetOnline, Thunderpick and Cloudbet don't have iPhone apps, so you use their mobile sites in Safari.
Apple only lists betting apps in countries where the operator is licensed to offer them. If it isn't in your store, use the mobile site, or the Android download if you're on Android.
From the App Store or the bookmaker's own site, yes. Avoid APKs from third-party sites, and skip any app whose developer name doesn't match the bookmaker.
For most bets, no. You lose push alerts, and that's about it. Live betting, deposits and withdrawals all work in the browser on all four books here.
None of our four has a US app. BetOnline is our US pick, and it runs on a mobile site that takes US sign-ups. Our US esports betting guide covers the state rules and the other options.
In GG.BET's app, yes, on matches that carry a stream. With the other three, you'll usually be watching on Twitch or YouTube alongside the mobile site.
The same four as the top of the page. GG.BET is the only one with an app to install. The other three open straight in your browser, and the esports betting bonuses page compares their welcome offers.

We're paid a commission when you join a book through some links here, and that money has no say in the scores. You must be 18 or over, or the legal betting age where you live if that's higher.
